About Acemedix Foundation

Our Story

At Acemedix Foundation, we are driven by a singular mission: to combat the alarming rates of maternal mortality in Nigeria. With Nigeria’s maternal mortality ratio (MMR) reaching a staggering 1,047 deaths per 100,000 live births in 2020 – ranking as the fourth highest in the world – and contributing nearly 20% of global maternal deaths, our organization recognizes the urgent need for action.

Our Mission

Our mission is clear and resolute: to collaborate with governmental bodies, nongovernmental organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to lower the rate of maternal deaths in Nigeria. We firmly believe that every mother has the right to safe and dignified childbirth, and we are committed to making this a reality for women across the nation.

Our Approach:

At Acemedix Foundation, we take a holistic approach to addressing maternal health challenges. Our foundation targets all women of childbearing age, pregnant women, and nursing mothers, recognizing the critical importance of supporting women at every stage of their reproductive journey. Through health outreaches, counseling sessions, distribution of healthcare packs, market sensitization programs, and quarterly Zoom meetings, we strive to provide comprehensive support and education on maternal health issues.
